“My piece itself is having an honest conversation about mental health, specifically as a young black man in America, and how damaging dark times can be not just to your own mental health, but to the physical, emotional and spiritual realms as well. I’ve had a very tough road mentally since our last anniversary show, and if there’s been anything that has helped me along the way since then, it was the gift of being able to open up to my loved ones about my struggles. I healed, learned and now strive to go even further along my journey with the gifts I was given.”

“My piece is about the beauty and hardship of love! We’ve all grown up watching fairytales and movies of princess getting their first kiss and having their happily ever after when realistically love actually doesn’t look like that. I believe love is a choice and a sacrifice. When you decide to love a person there will be times that feel like you’re on cloud 9 and other times where you’re in the valley. Love isn’t always easy but it’s worth it. Love doesn’t always look attractive but fighting through it TOGETHER creates a stronger and beautiful relationship.

“My piece focuses on the fact that we are blessed to see another day, another opportunity, and we get another chance at living. Sometimes we take that for granted, so this is your reminder to be grateful for it. Along with that, dance is what unites us here in KR3T’s and we love to celebrate exactly that. Music makes us lose control of ourselves, come enjoy this ride that we are gonna have you in.”

“My routine is an Afro style based piece that focuses in on the “Gift of Giving.” There will be four different gifts represented which are inspiration, creativity, renewal, warmth/stability. The choreography is an expression of the synergy created as a result of the shared exchange of each gift.”

2 hrs before the show violet got injured but went in like a soldier to complete the best to her message. “This routine was a reminder to our audience how important it is to love yourself! It’s the start of where become kind to yourself and it trickles down to everyone around! Instead of running to temporary things to deal with the insecurities that you may be struggling with, it’s time to renew your surroundings, renew your mind and renew the way you speak to yourself & LOVE YOURSELF
